NHS Wales Data Quality Service

Informatica's DQS software is installed and being used by over 94% of General Practices in Wales and is available for use by all of the Local Health Boards in Wales.

Other customers of DQS are the National Public Health Service (Wales), the Communicable Disease Surveillance Centre (Wales), Informing Healthcare, and the School of Medicine at Swansea University who use DQS for data analysis and provision.

What is DQS Being Used For?

• Enhanced Services like Near Patient Testing DES and the Minor Surgery DES
• Flu vaccination reporting
• National Service Frameworks for Coronary Heart Disease and Diabetes etc
• Clinical data quality improvements including QOF disease registers
• Collecting data for the SAIL and PRISM research projects.
• Weekly communicable disease monitoring and reporting.
