Audit+
Easily audit general practice clinical data for local and national service supervision and other primary care initiatives.
The Welsh Assembly Government relies upon Audit+ to underpin its Primary Care Data Quality Service. Audit+ runs on top of the Informatica Clinical Audit Platform (iCAP), a comprehensive software platform for building solutions to primary care problems that require automated general practice data extraction coupled with powerful clinical decision support tools and centralised business intelligence capabilities.
Audit Packs
Audit+ comes with a number of packs of bundled audits pre-configured to solve common problems such as:
Automated Data Extraction
With outstanding clinical system compatibility, Audit+ is easy to install via download and has no impact on existing practice systems. Once the practice software is installed, new audit specifications for data extraction and analysis are automatically transmitted daily to every practice. The audit results can then be sent to a central repository for analysis from every practice on a centrally defined schedule allowing data to be collected when it's needed, even on a daily basis if required. The benefits of using Audit+ for data extraction are:
- Identical audit analysis on all clinical systems
- Fast and reliable data extraction
- No reliance on Miquest engines
- No requirement for PCT staff to visit practices and install or run queries
- No requirement on practice staff to monitor or control system
Decision Support for General Practices
Audit+ provides practices with a number of tools that allow them to manage their patient registers as defined in an audit specification. These tools allow the practices to browse patients and easily identify those that require attention, to graphically view any patient treatment and outcome targets that may have been set for the audit and to export patient list data for internal uses such as mail merges using a word processor or custom analysis in a spreadsheet.
Business Intelligence for Primary Care Organisations
The extracted data is locally analysed at each practice and then the aggregated results of those analyses are sent to a central repository and presented in a web based business intelligence portal. Every PCO has its own secure repository ensuring that only authorised individuals can view the collected data. Dashboard charts monitor GP performance; Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) monitor overall performance, giving a complete view across the PCO.
Information Governance
Our software has met all of the Information Governance requirements imposed by NHS Wales for projects like SAIL, PRISM and the National Diabetes Audit. We are one of the few companies certified by BSi for our ISO27001 Information Security Management System and have also passed Connecting for Health’s Information Governance Statement of Compliance.
