Question

On CHD1 we gained the full 4 points

Contract+ states payment at £X.

Contract+ with F7 (prevalences) states payment at £Y.

QMAS states the prevalence factor at 0.62647 and payment at £Z.

Can someone explain to me really simply how this works?

Answer

In Contract+ the "normal" view shows how your points would translate into money assuming your prevalences matched the national average.

The prevalence adjusted view tries to apply the same (published) logic that will be applied to account for prevalence, based on the national average prevalences that are stored within Contract+. We updated these recently to the latest figures available, but they apply to last year. The prevalences for this year will be different, but one wouldn't expect them to be wildly so.

Information on what QMAS actually does for its calculations is thin on the ground. The prevalence adjusted view in Contract+ will only ever be an estimate as the national average prevalences are only calculated once all the submissions are in.
