Informatica Systems has been awarded a contract on a brand new £484 million framework for the NHS, subject to the completion of an assurance process.
GP IT Futures aims to help primary care providers procure technology that best meets their needs via an easy-to-navigate approved online marketplace.
Informatica Systems intends to complete the assurance process to offer their SmarterCare+ technology suite, including population health, NHS Health Checks and NHS Right Care solutions, having been rigorously assessed on financial, innovation, security and quality grounds, as well the existing Audit+ and FrontDesk products
Informatica Systems and the other 68 approved suppliers support open, modern architectures, consistent technical and data standards and high levels of interoperability, which ensures a greater degree of modularity in the primary care marketplace and could unlock powerful, useful data sharing in the sector.
GP It Futures replaces the outgoing contractual framework, GPSoC, which expires on 31st December 2019.
Philip Brown, Managing Director at Informatica said, said:
“We are delighted to be a part of this prestigious framework. We are more focused than ever to help GP Practices and Primary Care Networks deliver efficient preventative care strategies that can truly reduce the prevalence of long term conditions and improve the overall health of communities.
We look forward to the improved data sharing and interoperability standards that GP IT Futures will bring and the positive impact that is set to have on patient care.”
Purchasing via the Framework is set to be available from early next year.
